What is Handball?

Handball is a team sport where two teams of seven players pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the opposition's goal. Its origins can be traced back to Northern Europe and particularly in Denmark at the end of the 19th century.

The game is fast paced and high scoring and is known to develop agility, team work and physical condition.

Handball is very popular in continental Europe. At the Paris' Olympic Games, Denmark was crowned in the men's category and Norway in the women's category.
